Frequently Asked Questions

1. When can I start using Bill Payer?
Processing your Bill Payer application can take anywhere from 5 to 7 days.  You will be able to access your account as soon as you've received your password and pin in U.S.P.S. mail from Lebanon Federal Credit Union.

2. What bills can I pay through Bill Payer?
You can pay practically anyone using Bill Payer-charge accounts, utilities, even your doctor or day-care center.  Some organizations will not accept payments via Bill Payer, such as the IRS and other taxing entities, court ordered payments, or payments outside the U.S.

3. Will I be able to use Bill Payer with any of my accounts?
You may choose only Lebanon Federal Credit Union checking accounts to be your designated source for Bill Payer purposes.  More than one checking account may be designated.

4. How many days does it take for a payment to reach my payee?
Since payment processing can take several working days, schedule your payments at least 5 working days ahead of the date they are due.

5. How do I add a New Payee to My Payee List?
Changes to payee information can be submitted online by choosing the "Add Payee" function. Please remember to enter complete information to avoid delays.

6. How long does it take to add a New Payee to my Payee list?
Your request to add a payee is processed immediately, and you may begin to make payments at that time.

7. How and when will I be billed for the bill payer service?
Unlike other onLine Bill paying service providers, the Lebanon Federal Credit Union does not charge it's members for this service .

8. When is Bill Payer available?
Bill Payer is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Only system maintenance may interrupt Bill Payer's availability.

9. Can I use Bill Payer overseas?
Online Bill Payer can provide you with peace of mind if you are traveling for an extended period of time.  All you need is access to the World Wide Web with a secure browser, and you can pay your bills.

10. How will Bill Payer debits appear on my statement?
"Payee-Bill Payer" will be the way they will appear on your statement.

11. Will I be charged the monthly service fee even if I don't make any payments?
No.  Use of the Bill Payer product is free to all members. However, 90 days of inactivity will result in this service being disable due to the costs in maintaining this technology

12. Prohibited payments - are these prohibited with us too?
Payments may be made only to payees with a U.S. payment address.  You may not make a payment of alimony, child support, taxes, or other governmental fees or court-ordered payments through the Service.

13. How far in advance can I schedule a payment?
You may schedule a payment to be processed on any future Business Day within one year from the date you scheduled the payment ("Future Payment").

14. How do I terminate or discontinue the Bill Payer service?
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by writing to us.  You must notify us at least ten days prior to the date on which you wish to have your Service terminated.  We may require that you put your request in writing.

15. How do I place a stop payment? Is there a fee?
You may delete any single payment or recurring payment at any time prior to 5:00 a.m., Eastern Time, USA, on the Account Debit Date.  You may also stop any payment by calling us in time for us to receive your request three Business Days or more before the Account Debit Date.  If you call, we may also require you to put your request in writing and send it to us within fourteen days after you call.

16. Are payments processed even on weekends?
Payments can be processed only on Business Days, subject to system availability.  If the, Account Debit Date falls on a weekend or holiday, your payment will be processed on the next Business Day.  Our Business Days are Monday through Friday.  Federal Reserve and credit union holidays are not included.

17. Is there a cut off time for processing payments?
You may schedule a bill payment to be processed on the same day that you scheduled the payment if we receive instructions before 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time, USA, on a Business Day ("Same Day Payment").
